Haley: Yeah, I have to have everything planned out. This year is gonna be BUSY.
Gosh, your English classes sound pretty difficult. :/ I'll try and teach you some François throughout the year. And your first day shouldn't be too difficult, because you've already been there for a while. Even if problem people still bother you, it shouldn't be too hard.
Invisalign? Lucky fucker *indiff* I've got to get a couple teeth pulled and the broken front tooth capped, but when I get it capped, I can't get braces. So it's either wait to get my tooth capped or just live without braces (my teeth honestly aren't that bad as far as straightness goes...) or get perfect teeth and live with a giant piece of my tooth missing for the next two years. *sobs in corner* Hell, the only reason noone at school notices is because:
A. I try not to let anyone see
B. I do a terrible job at A, but everyone has their own problems I guess. Half the kids at my school have some sort of gold/silver tooth. I guess they know that they shouldn't say anything to me because they had to do it too.
But enough of that little mini rant. On to you Emily. As said before, high school isn't so bad. Actually, it's what you make it to be. I was terrified to death on my first day, so naturally, I thought the place was terrible. Then I realized: stop worrying about the modern myths (lol) and legends and stereotypes that define an outsider's perception of high school (fanceh words, lol). Instead, relax and take a moment to really look around you. You realize that these people aren't divided up into cliques. If people pick on the little kids, it doesn't happen that often, and people actually DO step up to help them when it does happen. Once you realize that not everything you heard about the place is true, then it gets a lot easier. Sure, you still have your trouble people, but they're always going to be there. Make some friends. You know how girls do that "I love your bracelet!" thing (I myself am guilty of this)? That usually sparks up a nice decent conversation. Comment on someone's (can even be a guy!) shirt or shoes or backpack. Before you know it, you'll have been talking to them for half the classtime XD. Once you've been around that person for a while, you'll start to notice their other friends. Hang out with them one day while you've got your friend around and before you know it, you'll be part of their little circle. I have a feeling that this might just work for you And if you have trouble getting that first conversation started, try starting that conversation over one of your elective classes (the creative electives like Journalism and Band always seem to yield the best results as to the formation of actual friendships, more fancy words lol) Even English class could do it for you, considering your writing skills You of all people should do fairly well in high school.
If tl;dr, basically, try to establish similar interests, and once you do, meet their other friends.
By the way: (my school's putting on a production of Little Shop of Horrors and my mom refuses to let me try out or even let me go to see it when it comes out :supersad:)
By the way by the way: I'm trying to get a job at Michael's (the art store) as a stock girl, but there's a few other places around here I could try (IKEA...Hot Topic...Urban Planet...Walmart...Dunkin' Donuts...)probably IKEA if Michael's doesn't work out, because the IKEA is practically right behind my house. XD
By the way by the way by the way: Tori just enlightened me about how to make your own 3-D glasses at home.
