That's what I tried to do but it was all small crap like one-cent books (i like the classics :phu:) and watercolour paints. The only thing on my sub-list that had the free-shipping-over-25 deal was the ebony clarinet

I have so many items on my wish list on Amazon, but I can only ever buy something when I get gift cards from my aunt on either my birthday or Christmas It's a shame, really. But, going off-topic here, excuse me... DID ANYONE SEE THE KILLERS PERFORM AT LOLLAPALOOZA LAST NIGHT?

Wisdom: Returning to my dictatorship of a household tomorrow (today?) Did you know I don't even have a state ID yet and I'm turning 17? My mom knows that's illegal and yet she never even bothered to tell me that I need one. Therefore, I am going to lay down some topics tomorrow when I get unpacked tomorrow and hope she understands. In short, I am going to take control as soon as I step back in my house. Hopefully she got rid of the bedbugs. Hopefully some of my stuff arrived (30stm poster <3)

Em: IT WAS AMAZING My sister and I were moshing on our fluffy couch AND PHOENIX PLAYED LAST NIGHT. I COULDN'T EVEN CRY BECAUSE I WAS SO MUCH IN AWE. The fact that I'm seeing Phoenix is just so surreal, you know? Like, Thomas is going to be in the crowd, and most likely crowd surf. AND NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH. Sammeth: I wonder if I have to get a state ID ._. I don't know anything *crosses fingers for 30stm poster*

It's your general ID card. You get it at 16 I think.
I never got one cause I use a driver's license, which is just a valid legally.

Em: Yeah, he is he is in my avatar~ (the bassist of Phoenix is one of my mates too, also) K: Ahhh, I see. My sister doesn't have her driver's license and doesn't have an ID card either, as far as I know ._. but I guess it doesn't really matter so much

You NEED to have an ID card if you don't have a license? I thought that was optional. Although, even when I got my license and turned 18, I have only done a handful of things that are for 18 and up, such as watching some rated R movies and driving after midnight I don't lead an exciting life

Well, technically here it's optional, but as you go on you need it for more and more things (they're even making you show it at prom now -.-) If I happen to pick the wrong day to go to the corner store and some cop is pissed off, I can go to jail because I couldn't identify myself. Yep. Not to mention that I really could use a part-time job. Like, NOW. The state of Florida is severely fucked up in many aspects. Also, I asked my mom about a part-time job. She said it's okay but when I mentioned the part about riding my bike there, she told me I'm too young to be riding my bike to work and that she would be taking me and picking me up. What the fuck. It's not like I'm standing at a bus stop for ten minutes with some creepy dude. I'm riding my BIKE. She knows I know when to cross a street. It's pretty hard for someone to be all creepy when you're going at least ten mph faster then they are. I mean, serious facepalm right there. She just can't let go. I can understand why, though. Sometimes I wish I was a male so I wouldn't have to put up with this shit.

WISDOM: So I went to get my schoolbooks and schedule. ~I ran into Tori But Frank was M.I.A. (no, not the airport), and so was Malik (i unintentionally turned him into a full-blown Whovian) ~I only got one textbook, as did most other people. The reason for that is because there are now classroom sets. They expect you to have internet access to the online books, and to be able to check out textbooks from the bookroom if you don't. Thing is, when you check out books (and this happens quite often at my school...idiots ), they get put down as actual obligations and therefore you have to return them to be able to go to school functions/trips. Figures. And the only books they give you to take home are your math book(s). ~I got all Honors classes with the exception of Digital Art I and French I. ~I went online and copied down all the important stuff from Unit I in my French book, and I found that it is scarily similar to Spanish. Thing is, there are less conjugations of nouns and more spelling applications. So it's a sort of tradeoff, but overall the beginning stages of learning French are much simpler than Spanish. Well, written anyways. (this was just in case anyone here wanted to take a foreign language course sometime in middle/high school/university). ~I'll have to wait three weeks to a month until I can start applying for a job. And then a grade printout is necessary. Sorry if you went tl;dr at all that :XD: In short, everything's working out okay enough so far Oh, also, I checked my obligation list, and there's a 35 dollar thing for a book called Jackdaws, which I specifically remember returning on the last week of school. Actual Wisdom: Lovers in Japan is my new favourite song for the next few weeks.

Sammeth: Sounds like you've got everything planned out nicely I'm taking all honors classes, except English, because I don't want to be put under even more stress with the billions of essays and presentations I would get... (not sure if I have said that already, but.) Oooh, French You should teach me some throughout the school year~ I'm too stuck in Spanish to switch over, so you can just fill me in on anything cool c: *my dad puts The Killers: Live at Royal Albert Hall DVD in TV* *3 hours later, comes back to finish this reply* HEEEEY. But yeah, I'm still dreading school. I keep having dreams about the first day, every night. I'm trying to keep my hopes up though, and also trying to stay strong. Let's hope it works out. I start school on the 4th of September, by the way. And then on the 5th I have a orthodontist appointment to see if I am able to get braces/Invisalign (even though I was already supposed to have gotten braces four years ago. I'd have them off by now if it wasn't for the stupid people working at the place I go to, and for financial problems. ehhh.) What kind of jobs are you looking for getting into, Sammeth? Just curious

Monday is my sister's birthday ._.
but I think the best advice I can give is just toughen up all you've got for the first day, and try to just do things for yourself. Take advantage of whatever you can, even if it means getting in the way of someone else's life (this may seem rude, but if they're a freshman, they either won't care because of how nervous they are as well, or they might take it hard, but eventually get over it.) I wish I could give an example, but I can't really. My freshman year was a fog, so I can't think of anything that I might have went through that can relate to that advice.
Once you make it through the first day, and see who is in each class (unless only my high school has all classes on the first day), then you should be able to predict what kind school year you are going to have. My freshman year was not that bad, and neither was my sister's. She actually said her happiest year at high school was freshman year.
However, once you find out what you're in for, for each class, you should be all set. For me, I was able to somewhat relax in algebra and biology class, and have to totally toughen up for Spanish class. Spanish class required me to go beyond my comfort zone, and I just had to keep telling myself to get through it. If it helps, what I used to do when I was stressed out, was I would just swear hilariously/make fun of the teacher or anyone I hated in a certain class. Sometimes my own rude jokes would make me laugh a little in class, but obviously no one noticed because I was invisible. It lightened my spirits, nonetheless, and that's all I cared about.
As for finding your classes, pay much attention to the room numbers. That's what helped me out the most. Before each class ended, I would memorize what number I had to look for next, and it would be simple enough. If you have trouble, ask a teacher of any classroom. My sister told me that on her first day of high school, she couldn't find her English classroom, and she actually ended up all the way on the other side of the school with the gymnasium. She asked a teacher to guide her, and she eventually got to her class, although the bell already rang, signaling class started.
If that still doesn't help, and you have the most stupid day ever because you couldn't find your way around, try to make a map for yourself. That's what my sister did.
Eventually though, you learn where everything is.
Also, I'd recommend opening your friend circle. If you see that you have no friends in your classes or lunch, you're probably going to want to have someone to sit next to. I'd say go for the more smart people; they may be very stuck up, but at least they won't rip your head off, you know?
But yeah, I'm not very good at giving advice. I seem to think that whatever advice I give, is something the person I'm directing it to already knows.
If anything, try to be as happy as possible, swallow your nerves, and become a beast. then once you get home, vent as much as possible.
