Hey guys! I haven't posted some of my band updates on here in quite a while, so here I am to fix that! (Also, if you read what I had to say in the PBB '12 thread, then you might understand why I am doing this.)
First off, I would like to inform you guys, again, that I am see Phoenix in October. I am so very excited, and cannot even believe how fast I became obsessed with them and their fabulous music.
So, the first band that I would like to talk about in this post, as you can tell, is Phoenix
This song, when first introduced to me by my older sister, was just to simply show me how diverse Phoenix's music was compared to the music they are putting out now. It's so very different. But I like it. A lot.
But then, the more I listened to this song, and actually analyzed the lyrics, it became... me. That may not make sense, but it does to me. So therefore, I have declared that this song is what I am all about (but it is not my theme song. "Bang!" by Blur, is my theme song.)
(I would just like to mention, before I move onto the next video, that the bassist, Deck, really makes me want to suffocate on my saliva because of how beautifully gorgeous he is in this video. Thank you.)
When I first heard about Phoenix, I knew that this song was pretty popular. So, now that I've finally gotten obsessed with them, and have examined every aspect of this song, I am in love. This song really stands out to me because it exaggerates to me about how French Phoenix really are. It makes me feel fluffy inside.
Now this song, basically just stood out to me because of its title. And of course, after time, the song has become a favorite of mine. The music and melody of the song also is really interesting, in my opinion.
And lastly, this song to end the Phoenix-ness, because it is one of their newest songs. You can distinctly hear in the music of where they said they got a lot of their inspiration for their new album from, and it makes me happy
And now moving onto the next... singer. He's a man you all know very well. I give to you- Brandon Flowers!! *crowd cheers*
For some reason, I have been listening to Brandon Flowers' solo album A LOT. seriously. It's just that kind of album that you have on repeat forever because it never gets annoying, and it's just so beautifully epic and chill, if you guys know what I mean
Gosh everything here. This is probably my favorite song off of his solo album, and one of my favorite songs that he has ever sung. And not only that, but this music video makes me want to tear up at how graceful Brandon is, and how beautiful the scenery is. (Also, at the chorus, he and I do the same thing. Before I ever watched this video, I did a fist-pump dance thing at the chorus, and then HE does it in this video. The exact same gestures. It's amazing.)
So this song, I immediately fell in love with as soon as I heard it. It's kind of jazzy, I think, and because I don't hear that kind of sound enough, I thought that this song was brilliant. It also really touches me, because it reminds me of the time I went to eat at a restaurant with my dad and sister, which is very rare for us to do, considering my dad works about 18 hours a day (he takes no days off, except for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I'm serious.) This song happened to be playing, and I remember I kept trying to figure out who it was sung by because I had heard this song before. And when I finally realized it was Brandon, I was just so happy. Brandon is such a good man, you know?
(I think I'll be quiet now and end this post.) Thank you all for your time.
