Sammeth: I have no idea  I'm actually going to be without a concert until October (as far as I know). I'm going to see.. - Phoenix - Two Door Cinema Club - Franz Ferdinand (in that order) and yes, all in October. It's going to be a crazy month. But I don't really have a tactic as to how I go to so many concerts. The bands just flock on over to my face. :l I'm sure you'll go to a concert soon enough- all bands like the summer tours they can put on - - - also, Kueller, I bought Sigur Rós' new album today I just happened to have gone to the mall after finals, and my mum was nice enough to buy it for me. I really like 'Hrafntinna' and 'Bláþráður'. :3

Phoenix? I have NIN, Kiss, and someone else (can't remember) coming to my region soon. Kiss is $75 minimum (the Hard Rock live), and I'm still not completely sure about NIN (and the prices didn't go up yet as far as I know). Other than that...nada. Tired of this 'go far south as Atlanta' shit. *le facepalm* I really like how you found all those characters to spell out the names of the songs.

YEAH PHOENIX My sister has really been getting into them; she's bought nearly all of their albums. And we've always known they were a great band, and Dom apparently loves them, so. It should be a great concert Oh that's cool! And $75 for a Kiss concert is not too bad! That's actually a reasonable price. Coldplay was about almost $90 per ticket and only for the loge seating (of course it was worth every penny though) NIN should be a great show! I'd really try to go for that one if you are able to. Also, how far away is Atlanta for you? Because if it's about an hour away, that's what I have to deal with for every concert I go to that's either in Boston or Rhode Island somewhere And yes, it was a tough find for those characters but I was determined to get them!

I'm working tomorrow. Going to have to find some way to sneak in time to buy tickets for NIN.

An hour? Try more like ten Even if I do end up in Tampa it's still seven hours out  I'll make sure to start saving my money now. Thanks for the tip about Coldplay I hope so. My mom hates them for some reason, so it'll definitely be difficult.

K: Good luck! Sammeth: Oh gosh! Ten?! Seven?! I don't know how I would be able to cooperate with that.. No problem I mean, Coldplay is a band that wherever you are sitting, though, it will still be the best experience ever. So if they came back and you weren't able to get the "best seats" or GA, it wouldn't matter. That's partly why Coldplay are my favorite band :'3 *crosses fingers* funny, my mum doesn't like them either :l I don't understand.

K: Yayy Well, I gave it a go with my mom today. She's still super-shitty about the whole concert thing and now she knows that I save money all summer. This is gonna end badly when I get back.. And yeah, close to seven or eight hours. All of the bands that I like (even Alt-J gained status on that list as of late) are almost always at least seven or eight hours out. Go figure. Mutemath was further (New Orleans), and Atoms for Peace was even further (FAIRFAX). Alt-J cancelled on the House of Blues up near Orlando. You get the point. And everyone that's playing in the Montreal area is going to Laval, which takes you along some of the worst roadwork and traffic on the entire North American continent. You would never make it there in time unless you left for the venue the night before. Especially with the construction strike... Yeah. Shame, because The Black Keys are in town soon with TJF.

K: Huzzah! Did you get GA seating? Sammeth: Well, at least you tried. Hopefully it all ends good. Oh geesh, that's a lot of travel time. The farthest I went to see a concert was up to Maine for Keane, and that only took almost 4 hours. My parents didn't even bring me up there because they weren't able to/didn't want to... If a concert is over 2 hours away, my parents won't even try bringing my sister and me. :c *huggles* I know I say this a lot, but I really wish I could take you to all of the concerts that you want to go to. I just feel it is a shame that you live so far away from venues, and that your mum won't really give in to buying you tickets. :C

But the BAC is two miles out. Not even. It's fucking WALKING DISTANCE. The American Airlines is...what...twenty-five, maybe thirty miles? That's seriously not a bad drive. In other news: I discovered yet another band today: The Damn Truth. They're based in Montrèal and they've only got one album out but I kinda like the songs that I've heard. Can't search YT on my ipod because it's in a crashy mood today but: -Too Late -Montreal Those are the two songs I've heard and I really like them. A lot. (I haven't really been able to find the other songs unfortunately )

They're playing at a festival, so it's all ground.

K: YAY FESTIVALSSS I've never been to a festival. Ever. I would love to, but there's not any good ones here. :C Sammeth: Oh yeah, 2 miles is walking distance. That's basically how far I walk from my house to the school bus stop (maybe a little less). So the problems with those places is just getting the tickets? Considering they are not far away from where you are. I'll listen to those songs tomorrow. (just having a really busy night).

PROBLEMS: A. Too god damned expensive (well, it's expensive for my family) B. My mom thinks that driving two miles takes up an entire tank of gas () C. She's also maniacal about 'zomg parking prices'. It's right across from a mall for Christ's sake. D. She doesn't care much about the queuing up issue. She thinks that she'll be sitting around with a bunch of screaming teenage girls for two and a half hours. Actually, that only really happens at 1D concerts...you get the idea. And that's pretty much her reasoning in a nutshell. That and she busts out the 'you can listen to them all you want to on a CD' line quite often. She's only ever been to two concerts in her whole life. She hated both of them. That's her real reasoning. Not to brag, but I only walk about a hundred feet

I've never been to one of those huge 3-full day festivals. Outside Lands is one of them but I'm only going for a single day. They're way too expensive for me. Well, I technically could afford them but it's not worth burning that much in one go.
